The Challenge
In 2019, VCS began the process of merging all of their business units and branding. Following changes in funding, the move to seek commercial opportunities in population health, nationally and overseas, became necessary. This required strategic input both organisationally and digitally to ensure that content and navigation for new markets was captured successfully in a new website. Additionally, old CMS platforms needed to be upgraded or changed, and potentially merged into one new overall website to allow for emerging technologies and hosting opportunities.
The Solution
Firstly, using content strategy methodology we made recommendations for the revised information architecture including a new sitemap and WordPress CMS which merged the four business units into one website. Secondly, the site was completely redesigned incorporating brand extensions for each of the business units. These changes increased their credibility for expansion into international markets and future proofed their digital assets.
